About the Person
Steve Rempel has been the Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President at Rite Aid Corporation since April 20, 2015. Mr. Rempel served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Balance Innovations LLC since May 2013. Before joining Rite Aid, he served as the President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Information Officer for Lenexa, Kan. He began his career at Safeway, Inc. He served as Group Vice President of Application Development for Safeway Inc., where he had enterprise-wide responsibility for all elements of the information technology applications process, including design, development, procurement, deployment and support. With more than 35 years of experience in the retail industry, he has a vast knowledge base across retail, including: supply chain, loyalty, marketing, merchandising, administration services, business intelligence, data warehousing, off-shore development/support, brand acquisitions/mergers and subsidiary expansion. He served as a Member of Strategic Advisory Board at Balance Innovations LLC since April 4, 2013. Mr. Rempel earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of the Fraser Valley in British Columbia.
