Rome, NY-based Goodrich Corporation has appointed Steve Hagood as Chief Information Officer.
The Goodrich Corporation formerly the B.F. Goodrich Company, was an American aerospace manufacturing company based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Founded in Akron, Ohio in 1870 as Goodrich, Tew & Co. by Dr. Benjamin Franklin Goodrich. The company name was changed to the "B.F. Goodrich Company" in 1880, to BFGoodrich in the 1980s, and to "Goodrich Corporation" in 2001. On July 26, 2012, United Technologies Corporation purchased Goodrich. Unsold Divisions of Hamilton Sundstrand and Goodrich were then merged, to create UTC Aerospace Systems.
Mr. Hagood is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Goodrich Corporation and leads the company's global IT organization. As CIO, Mr. Hagood is responsible for the company's global IT strategies and business alignment of enterprise-wide technologies as well as operational service delivery and support of IT solutions. Mr. Hagood joined Goodrich Corporation in 1993 as Assistant Controller and was the Vice President and Segment Controller of Goodrich’s Airframe Systems segment before becoming CIO in 2003.
