About the Person

Steven I. Cooper, also known as Steve has been Vice President of Strategic Programs at Digital Management, Inc. since February 2014. He also serves as Partner and Founding Member at Strativest, LLC. Mr. Cooper focuses on furthering DMI's growth by leveraging his relationships in the public and private sector. He is responsible for identifying innovative opportunities to mobility and analytics solutions to clients around DMI's full suite of mobile enterprise and big data capabilities. He has more than 30 years of information technology experience. Prior to joining DMI, he served as the Acting Deputy Assistant Administrator and Chief Information Officer for Information Technology and Services at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) where he co-led the transformation of the 1,000+ person IT organization into shared services, guided the development of the agency's three-year IT strategy, and set forth a vision for "Information as a Service" in support of the FAA's 50,000 employees. He served as the Chief Information Officer for the Air Traffic Organization, where he led the introduction of mobile technology into the FAA in 2010, initiating and overseeing at that time the largest operational pilot program of tablets and smartphones across the federal civilian landscape. He led the transformation of the ATO's Information Technology organization to enhance the use of IT in the safe separation of aircraft and mission support. He served as the President of Fortified Holdings Corp. since November 1, 2007 and also served as its Interim Chief Executive Officer. He served as the President of Fortified Data Communications, Inc. Mr. Cooper served as the Chief Operating Officer of Fortified Holdings Corp. He served as the Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of American Red Cross. He served as the Chief Information Officer for the United States Department of Homeland Security since February 2003 and spent over 20 years in the private sector. Mr. Cooper was appointed in March 2002 as a Special Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and served as Senior Director for Information Integration in the White House Office of Homeland Security. He also served as the Chief Information Officer for Corning, Inc., and Director of Information Technology of Eli Lilly and Company. He has been the Chairman of Advisory Board at StrikeForce Technologies, Inc. since July 2007 and serves as its Member of Advisory Board. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board for Nationwide Exchange Services Inc. Mr. Cooper serves as a Director of Fortified Holdings Corp. and has been its Member of the Advisory Board since September 28, 2007. He served as a Member of Advisory Board at NES Financial Corp. since September 28, 2007.
