Roach held R&D positions at Siemens AG, Siemens-Nixdorf and AT&T with a focus on operating system kernels and Internet protocols. As co-founder, joint-CEO and CTO of GMRS Software GmbH, he was responsible for the creation of a revolutionary new generation of flexible call processing technology and the successful growth of the business, leading to its acquisition by Brain Force AG in 2000. During a five-year tenure as Managing Director and Design Authority of Brain Force's Communication Networks Division, he was responsible for the creation of a portfolio of software products (including what is now the KEMP LoadMaster).
