About the Person
Sherri McGee has lived in Douglas County for 41 years and is married to longtime resident Mike McGee. She raised her children in Douglas and now has grandchildren growing up in the Valley. Her daughter works at Great Basin Equine in Gardnerville and has three boys. Sherri’s son is working as a civil engineer in Reno and is also a pilot for the Nevada National Guard. Sherri comes to Douglas County with over 16 years of technology leadership experience in government and holds certifications in Project Management, IT Service Management and Agile methodologies. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from UNR with majors in Business and Computer Applications. Sherri began her official role as Chief Technology Officer as of Monday, February 22, 2016.
