About the Person
Shawn Douglass previously held a number of roles at enterprise technology company EMC, including founder and managing director of EMC Ventures. More recently, he was Chief Technology Officer at cloud management company ServiceMesh, which was acquired last fall by CSC. Mr. Douglass spent over ten years at EMC, where he began as Director of Partner Engineering, and served as Senior Director Advanced Technology Ventures for the Office of the CTO, before becoming Managing Director for EMC Ventures. Prior to EMC, Mr. Douglass was an early employee at Digital Island and Loud Cloud/Opsware helping empower their IPOs. He has served on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Technical Steering Committee for the Enterprise Grid Alliance (EGA), and was on the Joyent Board of Directors as the EMC Observer.
