Newtown, PA-based Optellios has Appointed Shailesh Singh as Vice President of Technology

 

About the Company

Optellios will lead in the invention, development and manufacturer of the industry’s most advanced perimeter security, infrastructure protection, alarm management, and video and data communication technologies, including fiber-optic systems, hardware and software. We will translate these advanced technologies into value for our customers through professional solutions, services, and consulting worldwide.

 

About the Person

Shailesh Singh’s career has included serving as deputy chief technology officer for Oregon-based Fiber SenSys, Inc., as well as significant engineering and physicist positions at organizations such as Tektronix, Inc. and Lockheed Martin. He previously served as a principal physicist for Lockheed Martin in Nashua, NH, and as senior optical scientist for Tektronix, Inc. in Beaverton, OR. He also helped develop next-generation active-fiber devices for Albuquerque-based Kiara Technologies, Inc. Singh holds a Ph.D. in physics from University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, and as an undergraduate in his native India, was one of only a dozen students nationwide selected to participate in the competitive five-year physics program at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, from which he received his integrated masters of science degree. He has also served as a post-doctoral fellow at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
