About the Person
Condron is a Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer with BlackRock Inc., a multinational investment management firm based in New York City. He leads the Global Technology Infrastructure Operations, Engineering and End User Computing Groups. Prior to assuming his present position, Condron was Chief Software Architect, responsible for the creation and deployment of many Aladdin elements, including Galileo and GPLive, and the commercialization of AnSer. Condron joined BlackRock in 2002 from Financial Technologies International, where he was Senior Vice President and the head of research and development. From 1994 to 1999, Condron worked at Republic National Bank (which was acquired by HSBC in 2000) as SVP and global head of the Financial Engineering Group, responsible for derivatives trading technology. Condron began his career in 1987 in the Fixed Income Research division of Drexel Burnham Lambert. He later headed headed derivatives technology in London for Mercadian Capital LP.
