The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS), whose mission is to Educate, Empower, Employ, is committed to being a leader in and a facilitator of a competitive workforce for the benefit of all New Mexico. The department`s goals are: to be a business-driven department, understanding the needs of employers with a focus on the employability of all New Mexicans; to be an integral part of all economic development and education initiatives; to be efficient and responsive to the diverse needs of New Mexico`s employers and workforce; and to be a “gateway” to employment. NMDWS has statewide oversight of workforce development programs, for both youth and adults, funded by Wagner-Peyser, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, and the Veterans Act. NMDWS administers various federal programs including: Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA); Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC); and Rapid Response (RR). NMDWS also enforces minimum wage, payment of wages, and overtime labor laws under the New Mexico Minimum Wage Act in addition to enforcing the payment of scale wages to laborers and mechanics under the New Mexico Public Works Minimum Wage Act. The department accepts and investigates claims of discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, ancestry, sex, age, physical and mental handicap, serious medical condition, disability, spousal affiliation, sexual orientation, and gender identity. The department also produces labor market information by collecting, analyzing, reporting, and publishing information about economic conditions and trends such as the unemployment rate, job growth and wage levels. Information is also provided on the types of jobs and how they are changing, the available workers and their characteristics. Lastly, NMDWS administers the Unemployment Insurance (UI), the largest program in the department, which pays benefits to people who are out of work through no fault of their own and who meet certain qualifications. NMDWS processes claims for unemployment benefits, manages the UI Operations Center, and authorizes the weekly payment of benefits to claimants submitting their UI certifications.
The New Mexico Workers` Compensation Administration is the state government agency charged with administering the Workers` Compensation Act. To assure the quick and efficient delivery of medical and indemnity benefits to injured workers at a reasonable cost to employers.
Welcome to West Brookfield, Massachusetts. With a population of about 3,400 residents, West Brookfield is a quaint New England town nestled among the Quaboag hills about half-way between Springfield and Worcester. As you enter the Center Historic District of our town, you will come upon the picturesque Town Common, lined with stately colonial homes. Recently restored to its original glory, the focal point of the Common is the Rice Memorial Fountain. The Common is also the site of our War Memorial Plaza and the Helen Paige Shackley Bandstand. The Common is host to many exciting annual events, including The Asparagus & Flower Heritage Festival, the lighting of the town Christmas tree during "White Christmas in West Brookfield," and the "Concerts on the Common" summer music series. From June to October, the Farmers' Market bustles with activity every Wednesday from 3 until 6:30 PM. The town center is dotted with many unique craft and antique shops where you can browse for the perfect gift or collectible. There are several restaurants throughout the town, offering everything from a quick cup of coffee to fast food or fine dining. There are also inns and a motel, should you decide to stay awhile. As you head west on Route 9, "at the lights" you will find our Town Hall and the Merriam Gilbert Public Library. If you were to take a right turn between these two imposing buildings, you would be heading toward our town beach on lovely Lake Wickaboag. The lake is a wonderful water recreation and fishing area. It is the site of Fourth of July boat parade and house decorating contest, and winter ice fishing derbies. Just before leaving the town, as you continue westward you will see "The Rockhouse Reservation," a property of the Trustees of Reservations. The reservation has hiking and nature trails, a lovely little lake, and a butterfly meadow. Part of the original settlement known as "The Quaboag Plantation," West Brookfield was the home of Jedediah Foster, one of the forgers of the Massachusetts Constitution, the model for our US Constitution. Lucy Stone, champion of women's rights, also called West Brookfield "home." So, turn off the cell phone (we do have excellent coverage, by the way), turn back the clock (figuratively), and turn to West Brookfield - "A Town for all Seasons."
The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) is an Independent Federal Agency responsible for administering the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). The FRTIB helps Federal employees and members of the Uniformed Services retire with dignity by providing benefits similar to private sector 401(k) plans. The TSP is widely considered to be one of the best retirement plans in the world and a model for defined contribution plans. The FRTIB`s mission is to administer the TSP solely in the interest of its participants and beneficiaries. The TSP is one of the world`s largest defined contribution plans, managing over $480 billion for more than 5 million participants located in every time zone around the world. The FRTIB is located in Washington, DC and employs approximately 250 Federal employees. The Indiana Department of Revenue was created by an Act of the Indiana General Assembly on Feb. 18, 1947. The Department is headed by Commissioner Mike Alley. The Department of Revenue is responsible for providing service to Indiana citizens regarding state tax matters. Additionally, the Department administers state tax laws, develops regulations and makes decisions about tax policy.
