East Lansing, MI-based Michigan State University Federal Credit Union has Promoted Samantha Amburgey as Chief Information Officer
MSU Federal Credit Union, the world`s largest university-based credit union, offers a full range of personal - and business-related financial services to Michigan State University and Oakland University faculty, staff, students, alumni association members, and their families worldwide in addition to a variety of select employee groups. Founded in 1937 by a few MSU professors and employees, MSUFCU now has thirteen branches, over 183,000 members, more than $2.6 billion in assets, and over 600 employees.
Samantha Amburgey has been with MSUFCU since July 2004, where she previously served as Senior Vice President of Remote Services before being promoted to MSUFCU’s Chief Information Officer. Amburgey has held a variety of positions with the Credit Union, previously serving as an eServices Manager, before becoming the Vice President of eCommerce and eServices, where she was responsible for overseeing these departments. As CIO, Amburgey’s role will expand even further, as she will take the lead in moving MSUFCU forward with the advancing technology of the times. She received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
