Kailua, HI-based Hawaiian Telcom has appointed Rose Hauser as chief information officer.
Hawaiian Telcom is the incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC) or dominant local telephone company, serving the state of Hawaii.
Rose Hauser was named Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer on Feb. 10, 2014. She has responsibility for all of the company’s Information Technology (IT) functions. Rose most recently spent two years as executive vice president and CIO for FairPoint Communications, a leading telecom and broadband provider. Previously, she was senior vice president and CIO for Hawaiian Telcom from 2008 to 2011. She was vice president, systems for Freddie Mac, and prior to that was vice president, systems for MCI. She was vice president - systems, architecture for XO Communications and spent four years with Verizon, first as vice president - strategic billing & business solutions and later as group information officer. Rose also spent several years as a management consultant and software architect. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s of science degree in finance, both from Bentley College, Waltham, Mass.
