As Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Rosalee Hermens is responsible for leading True Value Company`s information technology team and managing the co-op`s retail and enterprise systems. This includes all automated processes to support the wholesale business systems, including international distribution, order, inventory management, replenishment, merchandising and financial systems. She also supports member store retail systems and portal technologies for both vendors and retailers. A seasoned technology executive, Hermens has led enterprise technology for both large and small companies. She has more than 20 years of experience delivering tangible business results through optimizing business process, information and information systems. With a strong track record for increasing revenue, reducing costs, and improving customer satisfaction, she has been recognized for her work at The Timberland Company, Aspen Technology, Compaq Computer, Digital Equipment Corporation, IBM and Bank of Boston. Hermens also has extensive international experience, having lived and worked in the United States, France and Taiwan. Before joining True Value Company in May 2011, Hermens was the founder and principal of Hermens & Associates, a strategic IT management consulting firm that helped clients identify and pursue successful funding strategies, identify the need for and recruit new leadership, and create and implement new application portfolios, through organizational and business plan assessments, competitive analysis, and benchmarking. In addition to her technology experience, Rosalee has financed middle-market and high-technology companies, led budget and strategic planning and managed numerous acquisition-integration processes. A director of the Forsyth Institute, where she chairs the finance committee and a trustee of The Carroll Center for the Blind, Hermens is active professionally in the Boston Club and Society for Information Management. Hermens holds a Masters of Science degree in Administrative Science from Yale University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon.
