About the Person

Roland Paanakker was came from Nike. Paanakker retired from the CIO position at Nike in October 2013. He had been with the company for nearly two decades, having joined in 1995. He spent several years in Europe improving Nike's supply chain and distribution system there before moving to the U.S. Paanakker most recently has resided in Nike's home state of Oregon and as VP and Chief Information Officer was responsible for developing new information technologies that allow Nike to communicate more effectively with customers and its 30,000 employees around the world as well as drive innovation across its business. Prior to joining Nike EMEA in 1995, he worked for IBM Netherlands for 10 years in a variety of IT and program management positions.
