Roger Leone has been promoted to chief information officer at Silicon Valley Bank, the subsidiary and commercial banking operation of SVB Financial Group. In the new role, he will help the bank integrate a new API banking platform as the bank builds out its platform strategy. Mr. Leone previously was the bank’s head of IT infrastructure engineering and operations. Prior to joining Silicon Valley Bank in 2014, Mr. Leone spent 14 years in the pharmaceutical industry, including a time as vice president of regional shared services for the Americas at Pfizer Inc. He also spent 20 years at Bank of America Corp.BAC -1.85%, where he helped establish infrastructure technology standards.
