Rob DeMillo is a 20-year entrepreneurial veteran, hired by StudioNow as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to grow the company’s technology team and capabilities in the San Francisco office. Prior to working with StudioNow, Rob held the CTO role at Discovery Digital Networks, where he managed the Engineering and Research and Development departments, and influenced the direction of Discovery Digital Networks’ current technology. Rob also held the CTO position at Revision3, Transpera, Inc., and Third Screen Media. Rob’s experience as a CTO includes overseeing the strategic direction of company technology, research and development, product development, and acting as the technical liaison to mobile operators, video content providers, and ad agencies, globally. Rob also served as Vice President of Mobile Technology at VeriSign, following the acquisition by Verisign of m-Qube where he was Senior Vice President of Engineering. Rob’s entrepreneurial pursuits include his role as Founder and CTO of Transpera, Inc. and Founder and CEO/CTO of MediaRush, an early market leader for media distribution within the home, and technology leadership positions at ATG and SynaPix. Rob is also a venture partner at SparkLabs Global Ventures, a seed-stage venture fund dedicated to wearable and IoT technologies. Rob holds B.S. degrees in Computer Science, Math, and Astrophysics and a M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
