Rick Roy is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for CUNA Mutual Group; a $13 billion diversified financial services company, headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. Rick is responsible for the company’s technology strategy, software development, technology infrastructure, datacenter operations, and information security. He is also responsible for corporate shared services including security, real estate and facilities, and enterprise sourcing and procurement. Under Rick’s leadership, CUNA Mutual IT is consistently recognized as an innovative leader in the application of business technology in the IT and financial services industries. His organization has been honored with multiple awards including the CIO 100, Insurance Networking News INNovator, Information Week 500, and InfoWorld 100. Rick is also an adjunct professor at Marquette University in their Graduate School of Management and serves on several technology boards in the local business community. As a regular keynote speaker and recognized editorial source, Rick has appeared in leading media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, NBC Nightly News, The Economist, CIO, InformationWeek, Insurance Networking News, and Insurance & Technology. In 2006, Insurance & Technology recognized him as one of the insurance industry Elite 8 Leaders. Before joining CUNA Mutual, Rick held several executive positions at Metavante Corporation (FIS Corporation) including Senior Vice President and General Manager of their product development organization. Rick holds a Master's Degree in business from Marquette University and a Bachelor's Degree in management information systems from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has completed management programs at Harvard Law School and Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Rick and his family live in Pewaukee, Wisconsin and he enjoys competitive sailing in his free time.
