About the Company
Trading Technologies creates professional trading software, infrastructure and data solutions for a wide variety of users, including proprietary traders, brokers, money managers, CTAs, hedge funds, commercial hedgers and risk managers. In addition to providing access to the world`s major international exchanges and liquidity venues via its TT® trading platform, TT offers domain-specific technology for cryptocurrency trading and machine-learning tools for trade surveillance.
About the Person
Rick was named CEO of Trading Technologies in February 2014. Rick previously served as chief technology officer (CTO), responsible for leading TT’s global engineering, support and technology initiatives. He assumed that role in March 2012 after re-joining TT from Google. Rick first joined TT in June 2010 when TT acquired the company he cofounded, TickIt Trading Systems. At TickIt, Rick was the architect of ADL® (Algo Design Lab), the trading industry’s first visual programming platform. ADL, which allows professional traders to rapidly design, test and deploy low-latency trading algorithms without writing a single line of code, is now fully integrated into TT’s flagship product, X_TRADER® Pro. Prior to cofounding TickIt in October 2009, Rick worked for a proprietary trading firm, where he developed trading algorithms for the Chicago futures markets. Before entering the financial sector, he worked at consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, where he developed defense-analysis software for the U.S. Department of Defense and other government agencies. Rick holds a degree in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
