About the Person
As CIO, Richard Boes will be accountable for the delivery of all information technology services in the Agency of Administration and across all branches of State Government in order to improve cost effectiveness and service quality. Previously, Boes served as Senior Director of Information Technology Services and Chief Information Security Officer at Cal State Fresno since 2005, setting the strategic vision for the Information Technology Services (ITS) department and guiding the direction for the university’s 24x7 operations. Those include Telecommunications and Internet Services, Customer Support Services, distributed IT Consulting and Support, Operating Systems and Operations Services, Classroom and Video Services, Information Systems Security and administrative support functions. Prior to moving to Cal State Fresno, Boes served as Director of Network Technology at Brown University in Providence, R.I.
