Rex Althoff has served in a variety of senior leadership roles in information technology for the past 35 years. He currently is the president, technology of Federated Services Company and chief information officer of Federated’s business information services division. Althoff is responsible for directing all technological aspects of Federated’s internal and external business needs. He develops and oversees Federated’s information technology infrastructure which includes hardware, software, applications and telecommunications. In addition, he is responsible for the corporate information security and corporate business continuity planning organizations. Althoff joined Federated in 2000. Prior to his role at Federated Services Company, he was the vice president of information systems for the Bayer Corporation and Miles Laboratories in Elkhart, Indiana. He is a founding member of the CIO Executive Council, and was the 2011 CIO Choice Award Winner of the Year.
