Chicago, IL-based Options Clearing Corporation has announced the Resignation of Raymond Tamayo as Chief Information Officer
OCC is the world`s largest equity derivatives clearing organization. Founded in 1973, OCC operates under the jurisdiction of both the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a Registered Clearing Agency and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as a Derivatives Clearing Organization. OCC now provides central counterparty (CCP) clearing and settlement services to 16 exchanges and trading platforms for options, financial futures, security futures and securities lending transactions.
Raymond Tamayo is Senior Vice President, Information Technology at OCC. He joined OCC in 2010. Previously Mr. Tamayo served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He is responsible for all OCC Technology Services. Prior to joining OCC, Mr. Tamayo served as Director of IT development and infrastructure management for the Commercial Business and Leasing Group at Citigroup and has over 20 years of experience in management-level IT and operational positions. Before working at Citigroup, he founded a start-up management consulting firm. Prior to that Mr. Tamayo served in many capacities at HSBC Securities including Managing Director and Chief Information Officer. Mr. Tamayo has a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Marketing from Boston College.
