About the Person
Randy M. Krotowski served as Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Caterpillar Inc. from February 2012 to June 1, 2014. Mr. Krotowski was responsible for Caterpillar`s Global Information Services division, which includes the corporation`s information technology systems, global security and global aviation. He began his career at Chevron in 1982 and has held a number of engineering, business management and information technology (IT) positions with increasing responsibility. Prior to his current role, Krotowski`s IT career at Chevron included positions with responsibilities for Chevron subsidiaries in Canada, Latin America and global strategic planning for Chevron Corporation. Mr. Krotowski served as Chief Information Officer of Chevron`s worldwide exploration and production business since 2006. He was responsible for the Chevron`s global information technology (IT) strategy and IT operations in 23 countries. During his 29-year tenure with Chevron, he held engineering, marketing and information technology management positions in the United States and Canada. He joined Caterpillar in February 2012. Mr. Krotowski graduated from the University of Toronto with a bachelor`s degree in chemical engineering and earned an MBA from Golden Gate University.
