Ralph J. Edwards has been Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Cardinal Bank since July 14, 2014. Mr. Edwards serves as Senior Vice President and Technology & Operations Executive Officer of Capital Bank Corporation and Capital Bank. Mr. Edwards responsibility for Capital Bank's technology and operations areas, Mr. Edwards has management oversight for its compliance area and mortgage department. He serves as an Technology Executive of Capital Bank Financial Corp. He joined Capital Bank in December 2008 as Chief Operations Officer. He has over 30 years of experience in bank operations and information technology. Prior to Capital Bank, he served as the Chief Information Officer of First Citizens Bancshares, Inc. from 2006 to 2008 and its Executive Vice President and IT Operations Services Manager of BB&T from 2003 to 2006. He joined BB&T in 2003 and spent much of his early banking career as Chief Information Officer, President and Chief Executive Officer of First Virginia Services Company.
