Hood is more than a beautiful campus in Frederick, Maryland; world-class faculty and caring support staff present an exciting university-like education in a small college environment to highly motivated students by integrating the liberal arts with professional studies. Hood offers 33 undergraduate majors, 30 concentrations within the majors and 50 minors. The Graduate School 17 programs of study leading to master`s degrees; 11 post-baccalaureate certificate programs and certification programs in education; and a doctoral program in organizational leadership leading to a doctorate in organizational leadership or doctorate in business administration. Hood students can gain valuable career experience at more than 600 local and regional internship sites; participate in more than 60 clubs and organizations; and compete in Hood`s 21 men`s and women`s NCAA Division III Blazer athletic teams. The Office of the Vice President and General Counsel was formed in 2010 and is responsible for overseeing all legal affairs of the University, which includes the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and College of Medicine located in Hershey, the University Park campus and 19 others, 2 special mission campuses across the Commonwealth and the World Campus. The current staff includes the general counsel, twelve associate general counsels, two assistant general counsels, three paralegals, one executive assistant, one administrative assistant and one financial assistant. The General Counsel reports directly to the President and the Board of Trustees. The Office of General Counsel provides legal advice and representation to the Board of Trustees, the President and other administrators in their capacity as agents conducting University business. The attorneys in the office do not provide legal services to faculty, staff or students in their personal matters. Students with personal legal issues should contact the Office of Student Legal Services.
The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine is a public medical school at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University located in Roanoke, in the U.S. state of Virginia. The medical school is associated with a university-level research institute called the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC.
