Created in 1896 the Real Estate Board of New York was the first real estate trade association in the state. REBNY members are New York City`s most talented, energetic and influential real estate professionals. REBNY works on behalf of its members to promote public and industry policies and frequently speaks before government bodies to, among other things, expand New York`s economy, encourage the development and renovation of commercial and residential real property, enhance the city`s appeal to investors and residents and facilitate property management. The Board conducts various professional education programs including state-certified, required courses for licensing, continuing education courses and free seminars to help members hone their professional skills. REBNY also undertakes a wide variety of research projects studying the current residential and commercial conditions within the city and maintains the largest collection of real-estate related information of any city trade association in its Seymour B. Durst library, located at REBNY`s office in mid-town. Founded in 1986, Executive Agenda (EA) exists to transform senior managers into executive leaders. It does this by providing a peer group, coach and resources that support and challenge the members to a higher level of excellence while enhancing their plans, ideals, decisions and results. EA members are learning-oriented senior managers and executives, other than CEOs and presidents, who represent a wide variety of perspectives, industries and business functions. Owing to the high quality, diversity and commitment of EA`s members and Chairmen, the results of issues "worked" by the group are almost always superior to those any individual could produce by him or herself.
DakotAbilities was founded in 1965 as United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Services to persons with disabilities have been provided for over 50 years as a non-profit organization. In June 1975, the first five individuals began receiving services through our day program. One year later, the first group home was opened and DakotAbilities began providing residential services. In 1990, the UCP name was changed to Community Disabilities Services (CDS). In July 1996, CDS changed its name to DakotAbilities to reflect the true positive nature of the services we provide. We continue our mission under this name today. We are a recognized 501©3.
