The Baldwin Centers mission is to feed, clothe, educate and empower the men, women and children of the Pontiac community. We are a nonprofit organization. The Center has been serving our neighbors since 1981 and currently offers more than 25 support programs that meet basic needs, offer assistance in a crisis, provide education and enrichment opportunities for adults and children, and serve as a safety net. We envision people of all ages and cultures sharing the belief that they can create and shape how they live and grow within the community.
Scholarship America mobilizes support for students getting into and graduating from college. Since 1958, Scholarship America has distributed more than $3.1 billion in scholarship assistance to more than 2 million students, funding both entry-level and multi-year scholarships and emergency financial grants.
Glenwood leads the state of Alabama in providing behavioral health care and educational services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and severe emotional disturbances. Our services are provided in a least restrictive setting, through a continuum of care, with the highest respect for individuals and families served. In addition to direct care services, Glenwood provides consultation and training for mental health and educational professionals and promotes research in these specialized areas.
The New England Aquarium is the only Boston-based cultural institution with a mission focused primarily on the environment, combining education, entertainment and action to address the ocean`s most challenging problems. More than 1.3 million visitors explore our diverse exhibits on Central Wharf on Boston’s waterfront each year. Around the world, we are taking on the toughest problems facing the oceans, including climate change education and research, ocean health research, endangered species and habitat studies and sustainable fisheries issues. Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation partners exceptional men and women who are blind with elite German Shepherd guide dogs, providing all clients with increased independence to improve their lives and the world around them.
