About the Person

Peter Ahrens joined JPMorgan in 1988 and is currently the global head of Core Infrastructure Services for JPMorgan Chase. He oversees 40 datacenters (1MM square feet) located in 35 cities across 9 countries. These centers support 8 major lines of business and house nearly 50,000 servers and 100Pb of storage. Prior to this assignment he was head of Investment Banking Technology Infrastructure and Risk and Controls. In this capacity he was responsible for Market Data Services and Trader Voice Systems, Distributed Systems, Database Administration and trading floor support. Ahrens is currently based at the world headquarters in New York and has in the past held regional leadership positions in Asia and Europe.
