Wilson County offers the community many services, ranging from the Mayor`s Office to Circuit Court. There are four main locations for government businesses and offices.
We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of support to Indiana`s schools, students, teachers and parents. The administration will be working with educators, parents, policy makers, business leaders and community leaders to create an education system of equity and high quality that will offer the resources and opportunities necessary for our students to compete and excel in the 21st Century. We are embarking on a community approach to educating our children. No matter where a child lives in Indiana, they should enter schools that have equal access to resources, as well as the expectation that they will receive a high quality education. The needs of schools will drive the department`s legislative agenda, focus our grant-writing efforts, and determine community partnerships and supports. Our team has transformed the Department`s website into a portal for users to easily access information about the IDOE, academic issues, performance data, and programs and initiatives. We will also maintain communication via the IDOE`s Facebook page and through your local media outlets. The new website is a leap forward in the IDOE`s efforts to advance transparency at the Department.
Alaska, northwest of Canada, is the largest and most sparsely populated U.S. state. It`s known for its dramatic, diverse terrain of wide-open spaces, mountains and forests, with abundant wildlife and many small towns. It’s a destination for outdoor activities including skiing, mountain biking and kayaking. Massive Denali National Park, home to Denali (fka Mt. McKinley), North America’s highest peak, is a site of animal-viewing tours.
Virginia is home to approximately 800,000 veterans, and the Governor is committed to fighting for those who have so bravely served our country. He expanded the Virginia Values Veterans initiative, which encourages employers to recruit, hire, train, and retrain our veterans. He also signed legislation to provide unemployment compensation to military spouses who leave their job to accompany their spouse to a new military assignment in another state, as well as legislation that will expand access to higher education for eligible veterans’ family members.
People with special needs shall be protected from abuse, neglect and mistreatment. This will be accomplished by assuring that the state maintains the nation`s highest standards of health, safety and dignity; and by supporting the dedicated men and women who provide services. The Justice Center is committed to supporting and protecting the health, safety, and dignity of all people with special needs and disabilities through advocacy of their civil rights, prevention of mistreatment, and investigation of all allegations of abuse and neglect so that appropriate actions are taken.
