Paul von Autenried is responsible for the global business services which support company-wide operations. He leads a global team of finance, marketing, human resources and information technology professionals and external partners to create capabilities and deliver services that enable and accelerate the work of Bristol-Myers Squibb. “The vision of Enterprise Services is to make it easier to get work done,” says Paul. “To do this, we identify the capabilities that will create the greatest value within and across business units, and use process innovation, technology, and human capital to deliver services on an enterprise-wide, cross-functional basis.” Paul joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1996 and was selected to head IT in 2008. Under his leadership, the IT organization has delivered a wide-range of productivity boosting tools and capabilities that enable global teams to better analyze, manage and share vast amounts of critical information across the enterprise and with external partners. His contributions and accomplishments were recognized in 2011 as a recipient of the first ever Bristol-Myers Squibb BioPharma Leadership Award and elevation to the company’s Senior Management Team. Prior to joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, Paul held positions with Kraft General Foods, Hewlett-Packard and IBM. He is a member of the CIO Strategy Exchange and the ResearchBoard. Paul has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in computer science from Stevens Institute of Technology, and has completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School.
