Founded in 1998, we were the first company to take American olive oil to a whole new level. While olives have grown in California for hundreds of years, we`ve pioneered new ways of cultivating and harvesting olives in order to make our extra virgin olive oil premium and affordable. We`ve developed our own ranches and helped family farmers throughout Northern California develop previously unusable farm acreage into olive orchards. The approach we take on growing olives uses time honored farming techniques while fully embracing modern technology; we even have apps that chart the history of each orchard. OBI Seafoods is an Alaskan seafood processor with ten shoreside plants producing fresh & frozen seafood and canned salmon. The product of a merger between Ocean Beauty Seafoods and Icicle Seafoods, OBI Seafoods is one of the largest Alaska seafood processors with over 100 years of processing history and experience. Our processing facilities are located in Petersburg, Excursion Inlet, Cordova, Seward, Kodiak, Larsen Bay, Alitak, Egegik, Wood River (Dillingham) and Naknek. We process a variety of species including salmon, halibut, black cod (sablefish), Pacific cod, crab, herring and whitefish.
2017 marked the proud 80th anniversary of the Kawartha Dairy Company, a 100% Canadian, 100% family owned company. For over 80 years, Kawartha Dairy has been proud to be a 100% Canadian-owned company, still operated by the same family that started it back in the beginning. Although it has grown tremendously from its early days, it remains headquartered in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, where it was founded. In 1937 Jack and Ila Crowe took a leap of faith and bought a small dairy in Bobcaygeon. Jack had learned the trade while working for Oshawa Dairy but the newly renamed Kawartha Dairy didn`t bear much resemblance to that larger big city firm. At that time it consisted of a small, simple three room building, where the cold storage area was cooled with ice cut from the lake.
