Surry Community College is located in Dobson, North Carolina in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and services Surry and Yadkin Counties. Founded in 1964, the college is a two-year, comprehensive college with an open-door admissions policy. We offer thirty-six areas of study, many of which have options for an associate degree, diploma or certificate, as well as online degrees. In addition, the college serves over 18,000 students in over 1,500 classes through our Corporate and Continuing Education division. This area of the college offers a variety of learning opportunities through “not-for-credit” classes for those looking to take a one-time class for personal enrichment or to expand their knowledge base in a particular area. In addition to its main campus, the college operates the Workforce Development Center in Mount Airy, the Yadkin Center in Yadkinville, the Pilot Center in Pilot Mountain, and The Elkin Center in Elkin. Offering many of our basic skills, continuing education classes and core curriculum classes, these satellite centers are conveniently located to better serve our communities and students. Bunker Hill Community College is the largest community college in Massachusetts. The College enrolls more than 14,000 students on two campuses and at three satellite locations. BHCC is one of the most diverse institutions of higher education in Massachusetts. Sixty-seven percent of the students are people of color and more than half of BHCC`s students are women. The College also enrolls more than 800 international students who come from approximately 100 countries and speak more than 75 languages.
Western Kentucky University is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, a city with a population of 63,500, and located approximately 110 miles south of Louisville and 65 miles north of Nashville, Tennessee. U.S. Highway 31-W and Interstate 65 intersect with U.S. Highways 68 and 231 at Bowling Green, and the Cumberland and William H. Natcher parkways provide additional easy highway access to Bowling Green. WKU`s undergraduate division provides four-year programs leading to bachelor of arts, bachelor of fine arts, bachelor of interdisciplinary studies, bachelor of music, bachelor of science, bachelor of science in nursing, and bachelor of social work degrees. There are 101 academic majors and 108 academic minors available. Eleven associate degree programs are offered leading to associate of applied science, associate of arts, associate of interdisciplinary studies, associate of science, and associate of science in nursing degrees. Additionally, 36 undergraduate certificate programs are offered. The Graduate School offers the following degrees: master of accountancy, master of arts, master of arts in education, master of arts in teaching, master of business administration, master of fine arts, master of health administration, master of music, master of public administration, master of public health, master of science, master of science in nursing and master of social work. WKU also offers the specialist degree, Rank I and Rank II programs, and doctoral programs in Educational Leadership, Nursing Practice, Physical Therapy, and Applied Psychology. In addition, 36 graduate certificate programs are offered.
