Lighthouse Youth Services is a multiservice agency providing social services to children, youth and families in southwestern Ohio. Operating since 1969, Lighthouse is nationally recognized as an innovator in services for families in crisis, for homeless youth and young adults, for youth learning to become self-sufficient, and in foster care for abused or neglected children. Lighthouse operates the area`s only direct access, around the clock sanctuary for homeless, abused, neglected or abandoned youth; the only state-supported private juvenile corrections program for serious juvenile felons; and is the largest provider of foster care in Hamilton County. In all, Lighthouse operates 19 different programs, including a charter school. At any given time there are over 550 children, youth and families in Lighthouse residential care. Each day Lighthouse staff members serve over 2,000 children and families through its community based services. Last year, the agency served over 5,000 young people and families. Central to their lives are concerns about homelessness, hunger, loneliness and safety.
We are a familiar face and trusted friend in central and southwest Minnesota but with a new name. The new name – United Community Action Partnership, Inc. (UCAP) – was adopted through the merging of two organizations (Heartland Community Action and Western Community Action) with a rich history of helping people, changing lives, and working to eliminate poverty in the lives of people in Cottonwood, Jackson, Kandiyohi, Lincoln, Lyon, McLeod, Meeker, Redwood, and Renville counties. UCAP is a joint effort to bring together area resources to effectively and efficiently address the growing needs of our local communities in southwest Minnesota. We continue to hold true to our history of being a “grass-roots” private nonprofit organization that is represented and led by the communities we serve.
We are a non-profit youth organization. Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club organization currently has 6 Club locations spanning across 5 counties including 2 states. We are located in the following counties in KY: Butler, Daviess, Henderson, and Ohio; as well as South Spencer, IN. The organization has both Units and Extensions. Units are our Club sites that are open year-round excluding weekends. Extensions are our Club sites that are only open during after school programming. We offer after-school and summer programming for kids and teens ages 6-18 years of age. At the Club, members have a safe environment, academic support, healthy snacks, high-quality programs and supportive mentors. The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) is the only national professional association that represents all PAs across all medical and surgical specialties in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the armed forces, and the federal services. AAPA provides comprehensive support and advocacy for physician assistants so that they may, in turn, provide patients with increased access to quality, cost-effective health care.
