The Alcoholic Beverage Control Division has as its mission, such duties and assignments as have been given to it by the Arkansas General Assembly over the years. Those powers and duties can be briefly described as being the regulation, supervision and control of the manufacture, distribution and sale of all alcoholic beverages and the issuance of permits, and the regulation thereof, in pursuit of those duties and powers. The Alcoholic Beverage Control Administration Division receives applications, processes those applications and, depending upon whether the qualifications are met as established by law and by regulation, the permit may be issued to the applicant. In summary, the mission of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division is to exercise supervision and control over a system which allows for the legal distribution of alcoholic beverage products in the State of Arkansas. The mission of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Enforcement Division is to enforce all Arkansas Code Annotated Laws of the State Control Act, cigarette, sales, Rules and Regulations adopted by the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, and the training and assistance for all law enforcement agencies as well as other organizations regarding alcoholic beverages. In addition to enforcement, the Alcoholic Beverage Control Enforcement Division conducts investigations of those persons, businesses and organizations who apply for licenses under the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act. The Alcoholic Beverage Control agents conduct inspections and report on permit applications in addition to the investigations of violations and apprehensions of violators. The agents also answer complaints and perform other special assignments; such as food stamp fraud when used to purchase alcoholic beverages. All Alcoholic Beverage Control Enforcement agents must be certified law enforcement officers.
The Hamilton County Sheriff`s Office (HCSO) was created on October 25, 1819 when the County of Hamilton was established. With a population of over 336,000, Hamilton is the fourth-most populous county in Tennessee. Our county was named for Alexander Hamilton, the first Secretary of the Treasury. As the 4th largest Sheriff`s Office in Tennessee, our operations include approximately 183 certified deputies, 161 sworn deputies, and 90 civilian staff personnel. For two hundred years the men and women of the Hamilton County Sheriff`s Office have provided consistent law enforcement operations throughout Hamilton County. Tulare County, with a population of approximately 426,000 is located in the heart of Central California at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountain range known as Sequoia Valley. Los Angeles is 200 miles to the south and the Bay Area is 225 miles to the north. Centrally located within the State of California, Tulare County is situated in a delightful and geographically - diverse region. The County includes an area of 4,863 square miles. Mountain peaks of the Sierra Nevada range rise to more than 14,000 feet in its Eastern half. Meanwhile, the extensively cultivated and very fertile valley floor in the Western half, has allowed Tulare County to become the second-leading producer of agricultural commodities in the United States. In addition to substantial packing / shipping operations, light and medium manufacturing plants are increasing in number and are becoming an important factor in the County`s total economic picture.
The Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP), under the direction of the Chief Procurement Officer, was established by DC law in 1997 and provides contracting services for selected agencies and offices in the District. The mission of OCP is to partner with vendors and District agencies to purchase quality goods and services in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost while ensuring that all purchasing actions are conducted fairly and impartially. OCP manages the purchase of approximately $5.2 billion in goods, services and construction annually, on behalf of over 76 District agencies. In its authority under the Procurement Practices Reform Act of 2010 (PPRA), OCP is responsible for both establishing procurement processing standards that conform to regulations, and monitoring the effectiveness of procurement service delivery. Procurement processing and management is executed by procurement professionals who are assigned to agency worksites to directly collaborate with program staff throughout the entire procurement process. OCP`s core programs include the DC Supply Schedule, Purchase card (P-Card) program, and the surplus property disposition and re-utilization program. OCP`s learning and certification programs support ongoing development of staff proficiency and procurement service quality.
