About the Company
Leveraging 35 years of experience in the cable industry and its industry leading test solutions such as QuickTest, Contec is the market leader in the test, repair and refurbishment of customer premise equipment for the world’s leading cable and satellite Multiple-System Operators (MSO’s). More recently, the company has expanded its services to include repair and refurbishment of a wide array of electronics hardware products. Contec is headquartered in Schenectady, New York.
About the Person
Naresh Nigam is responsible for Contec’s Research & Development activities including our QuickTest family of test equipment, software and services as well as our growing Technical Services offering. Naresh brings over twenty five years of expertise to Contec, most recently drove Sanmina’s corporate technology strategy, managed that company’s worldwide design centers and successfully designed and drove mass-production of products including set-top-boxes that were resounding successes for major OEM/MSO’s. Over nine years at Sanmina, Naresh held various senior management roles in Engineering, including his most recent four years as Corporate Chief Technology Officer. Prior to joining Sanmina, Mr. Nigam co-founded Force10 Networks, a 10Gigabit Ethernet Switch/Router company that was subsequently acquired by Dell. Previous roles in Mr. Nigam’s accomplished track record include Chief Executive Officer of Duet Technologies, a developer of Physical Libraries and Memory Compilers; and Vice President of Client/Server Engineering at Unisys. Mr. Nigam holds an undergraduate degree from Agra University and M.S. from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York.
