Englewood, CO-based DISH Network hired Mike McClaskey as Chief Information Officer
The DISH Network Corporation re-branding its consumer TV service simply as DISH, is an American direct-broadcast satellite service provider. The company provides satellite television, audio programming, and interactive television services to commercial and residential customers in the United States. As of March 2013, the company provided services to just over fourteen million subscribers and has approximately 34,000 employees (with more than 25,000 employees located within the United States). The company is headquartered in Meridian, Colorado, though the postal designation of nearby Englewood is used in the corporate mailing address.
As SVP & CIO of DISH Network, Mike McClaskey is responsible for enterprise information technology strategy and operations. One of his biggest accomplishments since joining DISH in 2007 was receiving CIO magazine’s 25th annual CIO 100 award for undertaking a massive enterprise-wide information technology overhaul that advances DISH’s ability to deliver customer service and manage its national operations. This initiative resulted in the largest billing conversion in U.S. telecommunications in many years, the largest cloud-based mobile workforce management system implementation in North America, new IVR and customer care systems, and a new state-of-the-art data center and optical network.
