About the Person

Michele Franci joined Inmarsat in August 2012 as vice president GX Commercial, with responsibility for the execution of the company's GX programme, bringing it to its commercial launch. Prior to Inmarsat, Franci worked at SES from 2006 to 2012 where he served as senior vice president for Segment Planning and Procurement. Before that, he worked at Arianspace. Initially responsible for mission management, he was later appointed vice president, Business Development. Between 2000 to 2005 Franci was a member of Arianspace's board of directors. Prior to that, Franci spent five years with Fokker Space, in the Netherlands. Franci heads up Inmarsat's Development and Engineering division, which has responsibility for a range of activities including space segment development, product and service innovation, network engineering and development and space segment and frequency acquisition and coordination.
