About the Person
Mike Hazel joined Academy Sports & Outdoors in 2011 and currently serves as chief information officer and vice president of information technology. Hazel spent the past 14 years with Foot Locker, Inc. where he most recently served as VP of information technology for Footlocker.com/Eastbay. He became a proven leader at Footlocker.com by rebuilding IT operations, ecommerce, warehouse management and introducing mobile commerce development. Prior, Hazel led the store systems team during the replacement of POS systems for more than 4,000 Foot Locker stores, one of the largest successful IT projects in Foot Locker history. He is a strong advocate of omni-channel and believes in complete channel transparency to service the customer.
