Washington, DC-based United States Department of Health and Human Services has announced the resignation of Michael Carleton as Chief Information Officer.

 

About the Company

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is the United States government`s principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans and providing essential human services, especially for those who are least able to help themselves. The work of HHS is conducted by the Office of the Secretary and 11 agencies.

 

About the Person

Michael Carleton was previously the CIO at the General Services Administration before taking his current post. He had held a number of positions at HHS dating back to the 1970s.
