Houston, TX-based U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Promoted Michael Brown as Chief Information Officer

 

About the Company

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is the principal investigative arm of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Created in 2003 through a merger of the investigative and interior enforcement elements of the U.S. Customs Service and the Immigration and Naturalization Service, ICE now has more than 20,000 employees in offices in all 50 states and 47 foreign countries.

 

About the Person

Michael Brown has been executive director for the Information Technology Services Office (ITSO) within the DHS Office of the Chief Information Officer since 2007. In that position, said the memo, he supervised the management of all DHS-wide infrastructure services and ensured that ITSO was aligned with DHS’s mission and strategic goals, as well as the agency`s “One Network, One Infrastructure, One DHS” business objectives. Brown had previously served as DHS’s deputy director for infrastructure operations and as director of systems operations, and as director of enterprise infrastructure at Customs and Border Protection, like ICE a DHS component agency.
