About the Person
Matthew Beck brings a focus on product lifecycle management, a passion for growing technology ventures and experience developing Agile/Lean software teams to Touchtown’s established product offerings. As graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a bachelors in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Matthew began his professional career working for the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon focusing on manufacturing process automation. From 1998 to 2004 he served in various technical roles at eSourcing and SaaS pioneer FreeMarkets (now Ariba, an SAP company) focused on web application architecture, design for reuse and scalability, scalability, performance and usability. Over the last decade he has served in a variety of leadership positions helping growth stage ventures to deliver exceptional value to their customers. Matthew’s first foray into commercial software development was in middle school with a shareware licensed music tutoring program for the Apple IIe. While it only sold a few copies the entrepreneurial hook was set.
