About the Person

Matthew W. Bross, also known as Matt, has been the Chief Executive Officer of Compass EOS Ltd. since February 2014 and serves as its Chairman of the Board. Mr. Bross served as the Chief Technology Officer of British Telecom Group and is responsible for technology strategy, vision and innovation across BT. Mr. Bross was the leading force behind BT's 21st Century Network transformation program, and headed up a global BT technology, research and development organization that spans the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific. He was also chief executive officer of BT Innovate, responsible for technology strategy, vision and innovation across all BT divisions. Mr. Bross serves as Secretary of Alliance For Telecommunications Industry Solutions. He served as Chief Technology Officer at Huawei Technologies and was responsible for leading the technology and innovation strategy for Huawei across multiple technology and business domains including carrier, enterprise, devices, applications and services. Mr. Bross served as Chief Technology Officer (on assignment), Senior Vice President and General Manager of Emerging Markets at WilTel Communications Group Inc. Mr. Bross leads the development of new technology and products in emerging markets. He has a long and distinguished career in communications and innovation, including senior positions at ConTel, MasterCard and Williams Communications Group. Mr. Bross served as Vice President of Emerging Markets at WilTel Communications Group Inc. He served as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Williams Communications Inc., a communications service provider since May 1999. From March 1997 to May 1999, he served in various management capacities for Williams Communications. From 1991 to March 1997, he Founded Critical Technologies Inc. and served as its Chief Executive Officer. He has been a Director of Sonus Networks, Inc., since February 2014. He serves as a Director of Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association. Mr. Bross serves as a Director of Alliance For Telecommunications Industry Solutions. He is on the board of directors of the EastWest Institute. He served as a Director of ONI Systems corp. since November 1999. He served as Non Executive Director of Secerno Ltd. He was awarded a William Pitt Fellowship by Pembroke College at Cambridge University. In 2010, he was listed as one of the most powerful people in wireless by Fierce Wireless.
