About the Person

Mark S. Gaunya serves as Vice President, Consumer-Driven Health Sales for the Destiny Health/Tufts Health Plan strategic Marketing alliance.In his role, Mr. Gaunya is responsible for leading the sales and distribution efforts for Liberty by Tufts Health Plan, powered by Destiny Health in the New England region. Prior to supporting the Tufts Health Plan strategic Marketing alliance, Mr. Gaunya served as the Vice President, Sales for Destiny Health.In that role, Mr. Gaunya was a key member of the leadership team responsible for pioneering The Destiny Health Plan in Chicago.During his tenure, Mark was responsible for sales and distribution covering all Market segments and helped the company grow from 200 members to over 25,000. Before joining Destiny Health, Mr. Gaunya served as Vice President, Sales for CIGNA Healthcare in Chicago, where he was responsible for a four-state territory and $2 billion in revenue, including all Market segments. As Director of Commercial Sales for Blue Cross Blue Shield of the National Capital Area (now CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield), Mr. Gaunya was responsible for a three-state territory and more than 7,000 commercial accounts.His background also includes serving in key sales and financial management positions with Therapeutic Healthcare, a multi-state provider of outpatient rehabilitation services. Mr. Gaunya brings more than 15 years of experience in sales and Marketing in the health insurance industry and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Rhode Island.
