Mark A. Esposito is chief information officer for Hartford Life, a subsidiary of The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: HIG). In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing an information technology strategy across all business segments of Hartford Life. He also supports the transition to The Hartford’s centralized, enterprise-wide information technology strategy. Prior to joining The Hartford in 2006, Esposito spent more than 20 years with Phoenix Life, where most recently he was vice president of information technology of the insurer’s individual life and annuity business, supporting sales, underwriting, service and financial systems. During his tenure at Phoenix Life, Esposito held a variety of technology leadership positions, including retail distribution, assignments related to outsourcing, block acquisitions, the Phoenix and Home Life merger, Phoenix’s demutualization and divestitures. He began his career with Electronic Data Systems. Esposito earned a bachelor’s of science degree from Western Connecticut State University, as well as several additional certifications including the completion of a business integration technology program.
