About the Person

Luke Weinman began his professional career as an intern at WTMX – The Mix 101.9FM, in Chicago, while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV Production at PUC. Luke also served as a lab instructor for PUC’s radio/television lab gaining more experience and expertise with various television and radio equipment. As he continued with on the air radio broadcasting, at WLJE’s 105.5FM, Luke realized something was missing. So he started to work more closely with TV/Video utilizing his experience from PUC. Luke began with the Lake County Convention and Visitors Bureau as Director of Communications. Since the start of his formal career in 2001, Luke has been awarded five state, national and international awards, including Indiana Society of Association Executives Star Award for Best Total Communications Program and the International Association of Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Best of Show Award. Luke joined the South Shore CVA as the Communications Manager in 2001 and marketed himself as a PR person with video focus and was promoted to Director of Communications. In 2005, he was hired as the Manager of Marketing Technology at the La Porte County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Utilizing his expertise, he is part owner of Digital Source Productions, Inc, a video production company, which has doubled in size since the opening in 2003. Luke, now 25, lives in Hobart, IN with his wife Kristen, and they are now expecting their first child.
