About the Company
Texas Health Resources is one of the largest faith-based, nonprofit health care delivery systems in the United States and the largest in North Texas in terms of patients served. The system`s primary service area consists of 16 counties in north central Texas, home to more than 6.2 million people. Texas Health was formed in 1997 with the assets of Fort Worth-based Harris Methodist Health System and Dallas-based Presbyterian Healthcare Resources. Later that year, Arlington Memorial Hospital joined the Texas Health system. Texas Health has 25 acute-care and short-stay hospitals that are owned, operated, joint-ventured or affiliated with the system. About the Person
Luis Saldana was Chief Medical Informatics Officer and Medical Director for Clinical Decision Support in Information Services at Texas Health Resources, a large multi-hospital care delivery system in North Texas. In this role, he guides and leads strategic initiatives to leverage Information Technology to improve care delivery, implementation and clinical effectiveness of THR’s Epic Electronic Health Record, CareConnect. He is also the medical director for Clinical Decision Support and is active nationally in initiatives to develop tools to improve patient care quality and safety through Health Information Technology and Clinical Decision Support. He is a practicing Emergency Physician for 25 years, and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
