About the Person
With over 14 years of experience in healthcare, Louis currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Athens Regional Health System providing leadership in that role since March 2014. Prior to joining ARHS, Louis worked in numerous capacities of increasing scope and responsibility for Universal Health Services in positions at Valley Health System in Las Vegas and George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. After obtaining his Masters in Health Systems Management from Tulane University in 2000, Louis joined the UAB Health System as Fellow followed by various operational roles of increasing complexity and accountability until entering the IT field of the Health System in 2006. While in DC, Louis earned a second masters degree in Information Systems from George Washington University and is also a Fellow in ACHE, CPHIMS and PMP certified and a member of HIMSS. He is currently serving as the Advisory Board Chair for the Association for Executive Healthcare Information Technology (AEHIT).
