Ms. Cichowski has been with The Associated Press since 2004 to work on digital strategies, started a product development department later that year and became Head of AP Technology in 2006. At Associated Press, Ms. Cichowski directs a diverse Technology team of more than 500 who design, develop and support Web and mobile products as well as multimedia newsroom, back-office, broadcast technology, customer Web portals and digital content processing and delivery systems. A global field staff is responsible for supporting AP's breaking-news operation and nearly 250 news bureaus in 100 countries. Ms. Cichowski served as a Vice President of Product Development of The Associated Press since November 2004. Ms. Cichowski has worked for the Associated Press in Miami, Tallahassee and Manhattan. She served as a Senior Vice President of USA TODAY, where she developed the strategic plan for USA today.com, which she launched in 1995 and ran as publisher for six years. She served as President and Chief Operating Officer of eMarketWorld.com. She also served in the roles of Vice President and General Manager, Director of special projects and Deputy Managing Editor in the paper's Money section. She serves as Director of Verve Wireless, Inc. Ms .Cichowski was a media, communications and strategic planning consultant and Head of Internet Development for a Virginia start-up company .She also was charged with developing the newspaper s wireless strategy. Before getting involved in interactive media and technology. Ms. Cichowski holds a law degree from George Mason University, a masters degree in communications-public affairs journalism from American University and a bachelor s degree in English from Seton Hall University.
