Vermont Technical College is the only public institution of higher learning in Vermont whose mission is applied education. Catlin Gabel is a co-educational, independent day school in Portland serving 760 students in preschool through 12th grade. The school`s roots reach back to 1859. The 1957 merger of the Catlin Hillside School and Gabel Country Day School established the highly respected school that flourishes today. Henderson State University is a public institution offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs through the Matt Locke Ellis College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business, the Teachers College, and the Graduate School. The University also offers a professional nursing degree program, the only aviation degree program in Arkansas, and pre-professional studies. A member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges, Henderson is located on an historic and beautiful campus midway between Little Rock and Texarkana on Interstate 30 and has an enrollment of approximately 3,600 students.
Opened in 1971, Paul D. Camp Community College is a two-year public educational institution with campuses in Franklin and Suffolk, and a Center in Smithfield, VA.
