The mission of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission is to create a fair, transparent, and participatory process for implementing the expanded gaming law passed by the Legislature and signed by the Governor in November, 2011. In creating that process, the Commission will strive to ensure that its decision-making and regulatory systems engender the confidence of the public and participants, and that they provide the greatest possible economic development benefits and revenues to the people of the Commonwealth, reduce to the maximum extent possible the potentially negative or unintended consequences of the new legislation, and allow an appropriate return on investment for gaming providers that assures the operation of casino-resorts of the highest quality.
The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) opened March 1, 2006, on the grounds of Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. NSSC is a public/private partnership between NASA and Computer Sciences Corporation Service Providers. NSSC consolidated selected activities from all NASA Centers in the areas of: Financial Management, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Procurement. The NSSC is a center that performs a variety of transactional and administrative activities that were being done at each Center. Consolidation allows the NSSC to increase operational efficiency and improve overall customer service. Initial services provided by the NSSC will be from four functional areas: human resources, financial management, procurement, and information technology.

Within thirty minutes drive is the nationally known East Carolina University Medical Center and Vidant Medical Center. Edgecombe County`s location offers a mild year-round climate with four distinct seasons. After a brief winter snowfall or two, we know that it won`t be long until the Dogwoods begin to bloom. After a few days of hot sunbathing days in summer, we know that the local maple trees will soon begin to show the brilliant colors of fall. Family, religious worship, friends and work are treasured commodities in Edgecombe County. Edgecombe County is a beautiful spot in Eastern North Carolina.
