About the Person
Laura Hall is the VP and CIO for Carnival Cruise Lines. Hall is responsible for Carnival’s technology strategy development and operational leadership, ship and shore side, for a fleet of 24 modern Fun Ships. Prior to this role, Hall served as a VP in the global business technology team at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Worldwide, leading the growth business segment. Hall is a technology professional with more than 30 years’ experience in hospitality, including theme parks, resorts, vacation ownership and cruise line industries. Hall has held executive positions in both technology and reengineering disciplines. As the VP of growth business, Hall successfully led the launch of two mega cruise ships, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, the opening of Disney’s first regional resort in Hawaii, the expansion of the Disney Vacation Club, and the strategy and all efforts for Shanghai Disney Resort, opening in Fall 2015. Broad, enterprise-wide experience includes executive leadership for ERP implementations, IT transformation and outsourcing initiatives. Before joining The Walt Disney Company, Hall worked as a consultant with Price-Waterhouse. Hall is a Florida Gator with a degree in business administration and computer science.
