About the Company

May Institute is an award-winning nonprofit organization that provides educational, rehabilitative, and behavioral healthcare services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities, brain injury, mental illness, and behavioral health needs. The Institute also provides training and consultation services to professionals, organizations, and public school systems. The organization is one of the largest and most well-respected providers of services and special education schools for children and adults with autism and other special needs in Massachusetts and in the U.S. Since its founding nearly 60 years ago, May Institute has evolved into a national network that serves thousands of individuals and their families annually. With corporate headquarters in Randolph, Mass., the Institute operates more than 160 service locations in more than a dozen states across the country. May Institute is a nonprofit organization that provides educational and rehabilitative services for individuals, and families of individuals, with autism, developmental disabilities, neurological and behavioral disorders, and mental illness. We conduct and disseminate the results of research concerning the education and rehabilitation of these individuals. We also train and consult with professionals and organizations serving these individuals.

 

About the Person

Kevin M. More, M.B.A., is May Institute’s Chief Information Officer. In this capacity, he provides leadership and vision for developing and implementing information technology initiatives. He is responsible for formulating and executing a strategic technology plan that is aligned with the Institute’s organizational goals; acquiring and operating all clinical and administrative applications; building and maintaining technology and telecommunication infrastructure to effectively support current business operations and future growth; and staffing and managing the Information Technology (IT) Department. Mr. More is also May Institute’s designated Information Security Officer required under the Health Insurance and Portability Act of 1996. As such, he is responsible for ongoing management of information security policies, procedures, and technical systems in order to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all organizational information systems. Mr. More has over 20 years of healthcare, information technology, and telecommunication management experience, and previously served as Vice President of Information Systems for our organization. He has also held leadership and technology positions at Tenet Healthcare, Cataldo Ambulance Service, Inc., and STS Management Consulting. A graduate of the Society for Information Management’s Northeast Regional Leadership Forum, Mr. More earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Bentley University. He is a member of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society, and a past president of both the Boston Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals and the Boston Society for Information Management (SIM). He currently serves on the Board of Directors for SIM International, and is a frequent speaker and panelist at various information technology industry events.
